Personalized pasta

PASTA is one of the best-loved dishes out there.

Indulging the Cebuanos and tourists with its love for pasta is La Vie Parisienne with its “Make Your Own Pasta,” a concept launched recently which gives its patrons different ways and more reasons to enjoy the dish.

Choose between a solo or double-sized order then get started by selecting first the pasta. More than the usual choices, La Vie provides numerous pastas and flavors to choose from. Next is to pair it with the preferred sauce like pesto, puttanesca, bolognese or its other must-try sauces like the beechwood smoked ham carbonara, to name a few. Generously add some toppings like caramelized onions, roasted peppers, mushrooms, and of course bacon. Last, all that’s left to do is to enjoy your creation.

More than the thought of experimenting on the different sauces paired with the toppings and pasta comes the promise of freshness.

“Instead of the dried industrial pasta, we make our own pasta dough using the original recipe which is simply flour and eggs. We imported our own pasta from Italy and every day we make pasta in different shapes,” shared Antoniete Bacus, director of operations and human resources of La Vie Parisienne. “Another advantage to making fresh pasta is that it cooks in three minutes. So it’s simple: Choose your pasta. Choose your sauce. Choose your toppings. And then in three minutes, et voila, you have your pasta!”

La Vie’s “Make Your Own Pasta” is available daily following its operating hours between 9 a.m. to 3 a.m on weekdays and 9 a.m. to 4 a.m. on weekends at 371 Gorordo Ave., Lahug, Cebu City.
