Zamboanga Hermosa photo tilt deadline set Oct. 20

PHOTOGRAPHY enthusiasts have until October 20 to submit their entries to the official photo contest of the 2017 Zamboanga Hermosa Festival.

Zamboanga City Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco-Salazar said the competition is open to all amateur and professional photographers.

Salazar, in keeping with the theme and the festival celebration, said that all entries should be photographs taken in this city during the Zamboanga Hermosa Festival from October 1 to 20.

She said the deadline for submission of entries will be at 5 p.m. of October 20 at the Public Information Office of City Hall with fully accomplished entry forms.

She said that all entries must be submitted as an unmounted 10"X12" photo print and each participants may submit up to three photographs, and each entry must have a title, date, location, and a short description.

She said all photo entries will be on display from October 21 to 29 at City Mall and the awarding of winners will be on October 28.

The top three photos will receive a certificate of recognition, and P10,000; P7,000; and P5,000 cash prize for the first, second, and third place, respectively.

Salazar said 12 finalists will also be chosen, and will receive a cash prize of P3,000.

However, Salazar that all entries will also be subject to a public voting for the Voter’s Choice Award.

The photo competition is anchored on the theme: “Zamboanga en Movimiento (Zamboanga in Motion).”
