Woman arrested for shoplifting inside Carcar City market

A 29-YEAR-OLD woman was arrested for shoplifting inside the public market in Barangay Poblacion 2, Carcar City, Cebu around 11:10 a.m. Sunday, October 15.

Chief Inspector Randy Korret, the city police commander, identified the suspect as Gesrel Cebel Bucao.

The suspect, a resident of Barangay Valancia, was caught after she stole grocery items worth P1,500 from AB Store owned by Alvin Aleonar.

Bucao was arrested by the store's guard Nelson Guangco after she tried to escape without paying for the items at the cashier.

Bucao will face a theft complaint before the City Prosecutor's Office if she cannot reach a settlement with the owner. (KAL)
