Usep Palaro 2017 kicks off

THE crowning of Binibini at Ginoong USeP 2017 opened the four-day celebration of the University of Southeastern Philippines (USEP) Palaro on October 11, at the USEP Gymnasium and Cultural Center in Obrero, Davao City.

Gidelle Manayaga of the College of Engineering was hailed the Binibini of the night, while Fretz Lloyd Santillan of the College of Education bagged the title of Ginoo.

With the theme USEP at the Forefront of the Global Dynamics of Public Higher Education, the sports and cultural activities of the Palaro officially opened on October 12. The highlights of the second day include the Cheerdance Competition, where representatives from the College of Technology emerged as the Champion.

The championship games and awarding ceremony will be staged on October 14, 2017.

Organized to showcase the talents and explore untapped potentials of its students, the Palaro 2017 also aims to promote the value of sportsmanship and healthy competition among the colleges in the University. (PR)
