Clark among top 25 best airports in Asia

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO - Clark International Airport is among the 25 best airports in Asia.

According to travel website Sleeping in Airports, Clark airport is on the 22nd slot this year, together with other Philippine terminals like Iloilo International Airport on 12th, Mactan–Cebu International Airport on 13th and Davao Francisco Bangoy International Airport at 17th.

Singapore's Changi International Airport remain Asia's best, followed by
Seoul Incheon International Airport in South Korea, Tokyo Haneda International Airport in Japan, Hong Kong International Airport, Hong Kong and Tokyo Narita International Airport in Japan.

Other best airports listed by the website included Taipei Taoyuan International Airport, Taiwan; Bangkok Suvarnabhumi International Airport, Thailand; Mumbai Chatrapati Shivaji International Airport, India; New Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport, India; Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Malaysia; Osaka Kansai International Airport, Japan; Hyderabad Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, India; Bangalore Bengaluru International Airport, India; Cochin International Airport, India; Karachi Jinnah International Airport, Pakistan; Lahore Allama Iqbal International Airport, Pakistanm; Brunei International Airport, Brunei; Trivandrum International Airport, India; Bali Ngurah Rai International Airport, Indonesia; Jakarta Soekarno–Hatta International Airport, Indonesia; and Kolkata Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport, India.

Meanwhile, the Ninoy Aquino International Airport is off the list of Asia's worst air terminals after Sleeping in Airports ranked it fifth worst in Asia last year due to the alleged bullet-planting extortion scheme, power outages, air-conditioning problems and insufficient seating.

In a statement, Department of Transportation Secretary Art Tugade said “while it is good that we are not listed among the worst, let us work even harder to be included among the best."
