#SHORTS: City's disaster body checks major graveyards; Army activates new battalion to fight rebels; AFP chief downplays threat of remaining terrorists

INSPECTION. As preparation for All Saints and All Souls Days next month, the Cebu City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office inspected some major cemeteries in the city Wednesday.

BATTALION. The Army’s 4th Infantry Division will activate on Thursday a new battalion of some 500 soldiers to help fight communist guerrillas, an Army official said.

TERRORISTS. Armed Forces of the Philippines chief-of-staff Lieutenant General Eduardo Año referred to the 30 remaining Maute terrorists as stragglers who no longer poses a serious threat.
