DANIEL Matsunaga confirmed he is in a new relationship with Polish model Karolina Pisarek.
In an interview with the Japanese-Brazilian model at the press conference of the upcoming flick "Spirit of the Glass 2: The Haunted," the 28-year-old said, "Yes, we are together".
However, Matsunaga was tight-lipped on where, when or how he met Pisarek and maintained that he wants to keep his personal life private.
"I prefer to have a personal life. I just want to have it really quiet and happy," he said.
The model-turned-actor clarified though that his decision to keep his love life away from the public has nothing to do with his failed romance with ex-girlfriend Erich Gonzales.
He said he just doesn't want people to get involved with his romantic life.
"In showbiz, believe it or not, a lot of people get involved and I don't want that to happen in my future relationship."
Pisarek, 19, was part of Poland's Next Top Model Cycle 5, which aired last year, and is under Avant Management.
Based on her Instagram photos, the Polish model went to El Nino, Palawan in August.
As for their long-distance relationship, Matsunaga said it will not hinder the relationship, especially when he loves someone.
He added that after all the heartbreaks he went through; it made him a mature and stronger human being.
"I've learned that you will always grow with anything that happens in your relationship. It doesn't matter if it's bad or good. It's all for your own growth," Matsunaga ended. (SunStar Philippines)
