ORADIAN, a global technology provider for rural banks, micro finance institutions and cooperatives in the Philippines, and its flagship cloud-based banking software, Instafin, recently earned the ‘Most Innovative Banking Software’ award from the European FinTech Awards (EFTA) competition held in Brussels, Belgium.
EFTA is a prestigious annual event that recognizes financial technology companies that are reshaping the financial services and microfinance industries. The annual event brings stakeholders, tech experts and academics from across the globe to evaluate and recognize the most effective solutions in the financial inclusion sector. Oradian's first-place finish in the EFTA competition is a result of its impact in driving financial inclusion and delivering business benefits to financial institutions in the Philippines through Instafin.
"This is a great chance for Oradian to show how we are using fintech and applying some of the industry's greatest minds to make an impact in financial inclusion. Microfinance institutions in the Philippines and around the world are using our software to reach millions, many of whom live on less than two dollars per day," said Oradian's co-founder Julian Oehrlein.
Oradian entered the Philippine market in 2016 with bold financial inclusion targets by connecting underserved clients to financial services and the digital economy. Instafin, which is the world’s first digital management information system (MIS) specially designed for microfinance, is enabling all 20 of Oradian’s partner institutions in the Philippines to manage their day-to-day operations more efficiently and serve more clients effectively and affordably. In total, Oradian’s community of partners is serving 750,000 end-clients in the Philippines in urban areas and hard-to-reach, so called ‘unbankable’ rural regions. (PR)
