4 kiosks fined for smoking violation

FOUR kiosks of the MassKara Festival at Bacolod public plaza were fined after their customers were caught violating the smoking ban.

Ben Solilapsi, action officer of Bacolod City Anti-Smoking Task Force, said the smoking ban is being enforced even with the ongoing MassKara Festival.

He said that persons caught smoking outside the designated smoking areas shall be fined P500 while owners of the establishments will be fined P3,000.

Those caught could just appeal for the reduction of the fine, he added. (TDE)
