Cello's, Orange Room's grand opening

DABAWENYOS will now have a new place to satisfy doughnut cravings as well as for simple, intimate get-together or business meetings with the recent opening of Cello's Doughnuts and Dips and Orange Room, respectively along Sales Street just in front of Chimes.

As the name suggests, the Orange Room is on the second floor of Cello's Doughnuts & Dips amidst a youthful orange interior and comfy setting.

Though Cello's Davao has been around for a few months already, grand opening was held December 19. Free cocktail doughnuts were served to guests and customers who were delighted with the new brand of this soft round dough that people in Metro Manila have fondness for.

A business venture of Orangeconcept, Incorporated, which is a partnership of two Dabawenyos, Tyron Lumawag and Bel Padlan, along with three friends from Metro Manila Manila JB Tan, Warren Choi and Anna Calvo, Cello's Doughnuts and Dips is a popular local brand of doughnuts known for their delicious glazed goodies that "started somewhere in-between the many isles of a local grocery store. Born out of Cello's love of baking and her husband Jutes' love of eating, the enterprising couple started Cello's Doughnut and Dips with its first branch at Katipunan Avenue in front of the Ateneo de Manila University."

Cello's is the name of the owner of the store, whose recipe is said to have come from her grandmother.

It started as a small stall in bazaars and soon expanded to a store and finally branched out in Taft Avenue, in front of De La Salle University. What used to be a family business has now a branch in Davao City -- the first branch outside Luzon.

The Orange Room, on the other hand, is an alternative destination for mini-seminars, meetings, and gatherings at reasonable rates.

Cello's Doughnuts & Dips offers a different variety of flavors like Oreo, Chocnuts, M&Ms, peanut butter, strawberries, chocolates, and blueberry cream cheese, honey glazed, sugar glazed, among others. Customers can also order a dip, like Nutella, to go with their doughnuts. The dips are especially recommended with honey-glazed C shaped and pillows.

It is open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily except Sundays from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Good friends and customers dropped to convey their best wishes to the owners. For inquiries and reservation of the Orange Room, call Tyrone at 09223398913.
