BUSINESSMAN Emie Orteza got a fresh mandate having been elected as president of the Sunday Bowlers Club (SBC) recently.

Orteza, regional director of the Federation of Duckpin Bowlers Organization of the Philippines (Fedbop), succeeded past president Jose Torres. Orteza had also served SBC for two to three years.

Panfilo "Ping" Efondo was elected vice president while Artemio Amdo, Alejandro Tan and Jimmy Sia were chosen as treasurer, auditor and secretary, respectively.

Torres joined the Board of Directors that is also composed of Amado Crudo, lawyer Victor Dumlao, Reynaldo Soriano, Amado Lauro, Ruel Baluyot, Rene Dalayon and Plutarco "Putie" Banlasan.

Orteza said induction of the new set of officers is set on January 23 at the Maxey's Veranda Resto.

Orteza said they will hold the SBC President Cup on Feb. 9, 11, 16 and 18 where a total cash prize of P25, 000 is at stake. Winners will also receive trophies. (MLSA)
