MANILA -- Mila Ocampo, 67, mother of actress Snooky Serna died Wednesday morning due to emphysema.

Ocampo first star in the movie "Romansa Sa Nayon" directed by Susana de Guzman in 1952 by LVN Pictures wherein she shared the spotlight with then actors Nida Blanca and Nestor de Villa.

In an earlier interview with Snooky, she said that her mother's health started to slow down when she slipped in her bathroom years ago.

Last year, Serna said her mother's health condition is doing well.

Ocampo's remains is still at the Royal 1 Chapel in Holy Trinity Memorial Chapels in Paranaque City and will be cremated on January 9, Saturday. (Glaiza Jarloc/Sunnex)
