Milbert Dacayana, the president of DTT, flew to Singapore last month and reached a deal with Primo Vista Promotions president Ed Miller to hold a huge boxing event in Singapore in August which will feature a Filipino boxer fighting for a world title.

DTT, which was started by Dacanaya, Tom Buño and Teddy Alivio, also inked a deal with Tiger Beer Singapore.

Aside from its venture in Singapore, DTT Promotions will also be branching out in California and New York. The promotional company is planning to promote boxing events in the US and will be pitting Filipino fighters against Americans.

“We are developing our boxers and will bring them to Caifornia or bring the boxers from California, here,” said DTT vice president for marketing Marco Reburiano. “It will be good exposure for our boxers.”

DTT Events and Promotions will launch its first boxing event on Jan. 23 at the Talisay Sports Complex.

“Rapid Fire… Binukbokay!” features seven pro bouts from promising young fighters and 12 bouts from the best amateur boxers in Talisay and Mandaue.

The fight card is headlined by a 10-round bout between undefeated youngster Jason Canoy (8-0, 6 KOs) and Ruther Del Castillo (12-3, 5 KOs), and a six-round fight between Andy Señerez (5-2, 3 KOs) and Jerpaul Valero (4-1, 2 KOs).

Tickets for this boxing extravaganza are sold at the Red Moon restaurant in Gaisano Tabunok. Tickets are priced at P500 for ringside seats, P300 for upper box and P50 for gen. admission.
