THE Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) is conducting a forum on the Toy and Safety Labeling Act of 2013 (Republic Act 10620) in Zamboanga del Norte.
DTI Provincial Director Rolando Acuña said the forum is focused on elementary schools to keep children informed on the proper labeling of toys and ensure their protection against potential hazards on health and safety.
He said that among those that were able to attend the forum include teachers and students from the elementary schools of Boalan, Culianan, Mercedes, Pasobolong and employees of the Mindanao Central Sanitarium.
More information campaigns in different campuses and barangays in the cities of Zamboanga and Isabela, including basic consumer rights, are scheduled to be held in the next few days. (Bong Garcia/ Sunnex)
