Ai-Ai to judge 'Pilipinas Got Talent'

COMEDY Concert Queen Ai-Ai de las Alas completes the upcoming Kapamilya talent reality show "Pilipinas Got Talent."

Ai-Ai, together with actress-TV host Kris Aquino and ABS-CBN President Freddie Garcia will grill all the contestant in the much-awaited talent search.

In a television interview, Ai-Ai said that she's very thankful and at the same time surprise for being the third judge in the competition.

"Nasurprise ako and thankful ako kay God kasi maganda yung pasok ng 2010 (I was surprised and thankful to God for a good start for the year 2010)," she said.

Ai-Ai added that she will not be all smiles and praises during judging time.

"Nakakatawa, may laman and konting Maldives (maldita) (I will be very funny but with substance and a little bit mean)," she said.

The concert queen is also open in doing a movie with Pinoy Big Brother housemates and love team Melissa Cantiveros and Jason Francisco.

"Nakita ko si Melai, magaling sya at magaling yung timing (I saw Melissa and she's very good and she has timing)," Ai-Ai said.

When asked about her lovelife, the "Pilipinas Got Talent" judge said that she'll just concentrate first with her new project.

"Pilipinas Got Talent" is set to premiere this year and will be hosted by actor-host Luis Manzano and international artist singer-dancer Billy Crawford.

The show will feature Filipinos from all walks of life and of any age with talents in singing, dancing, acting or even in doing magic tricks or stand-up comedy.

In an earlier television interview with both stars, Billy said the time has come for Filipinos to strut our talents in the whole world.

"We Filipinos are very talented. Aside from our impeccable talent in singing and dancing, we still have a lot of talents and skills set to be shown in the world," Billy said.

He added that in this show everyone is welcome and they are up to everything.

Meanwhile, Luis said that "Pilipinas Got Talent" will not only showcase one's talent but they will also feature the contestants' life and personal struggles.

"All the contestants, we will not only feature his telents but we will also share the drama's they went through in life," he said. (Glaiza Jarloc/Sunnex)
