MEMBERS of a transport group in Baguio City want Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) Regional Director Federico Mandapat Jr. be replaced by a new one.
Following the general assemble of the transport sector, 1 United Transport Coalition Representative Vigor Mendoza said it is time the government should give other people a chance to solve the problems of the region and not stick with the present director.
"The dominant problem is good governance with the transport related government agencies," Mendoza said.
The transport sector in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) has repeatedly said that processing of applications take too long before they are approved in the regional office of the DOTC.
Mendoza said 1 Utak has already asked the central office of the DOTC) to replace Mandapat.
"We will have to follow up with our request. We might result in threatening government that we will not vote for the administration's presidential bet if they don't give in to our request," he said. (Visha Calventas)
