‘Most wanted’ man nabbed in Calinan

POLICE arrested one of the “Most Wanted for Militant Killings" in Borongan, Eastern Samar in Calinan, Davao City on Saturday.

The suspect, who ranked number 11 in the list, is identified as Alejandro Aragon Jr., 63, a resident of Barangay Inayangan, Calinan district.

Aragon carries a reward of P90,000 on his head from the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), as provided for in Memorandum Circular 2009-65.

Based on reports, the suspect was arrested by joint elements of the Calinan police, led by Chief Inspector Ariel Acala, and Regional Intelligence Unit (RIU) led by Inspector Reynaldo Panebe at his residence.

Authorities were armed with a warrant of arrest for murder, with criminal case number 11942, issued by Judge Catalo of the Regional Trial Court Branch 2 in Borongan, Eastern Samar.

The suspect is presently detained at the Police Regional Office (PRO) 11 in Camp Catitipan, while awaiting the court's order for his transfer to Eastern Samar. (AD)
