A BUSINESS group in Iloilo City admired Lakas-Kampi-CMD presidential bet Gilbert Teodoro for his wit, intelligence, and charisma in leading the country.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Iloilo Incorporated said Teodoro has charmed his way to the hearts and mind of the Ilonggo business sector.

Teodoro visited Iloilo for campus and open forums. He also was the guest speaker to “An Encounter with a Presidentiable” hosted by the chamber and the Iloilo Convention and Visitors Bureau (ICVB) at the Sarabia Manor Hotel in the city.

Chamber head publisher Joeboy Agriam said the event is the start of a series of encounters with the presidentiables by the Iloilo business sector as an opportunity to know better the man who will next lead the country as President.

“The event is an overwhelming success and hopefully, Iloilo will go for Gibo after exposing his vision and mission for the Philippines,” Agriam said.

Regional development council chairman, Antique Governor Salvacion Perez, said there is no other presidential candidate except Teodoro who can expound the many issues surrounding the presidency and governance more intelligently and expertly.

She said that out of 16 provincial governors in the Visayas, 12 are for Teodoro and 20 out of 30 city mayors are also for him, clearly showing the ongoing acceptance and popularity of the Lakas bet.

Teodoro, on his side, pointed out the lack of long-term infrastructure program in the country.

The President must ensure peace and order and must know how to manage the Armed Forces of the Philippines, he said.

He added that he is aware of the looming power crisis in Iloilo, particularly with the rapid urbanization and climate change, adding that the city is congested with severe problems on traffic.
