KAPUSO leading man Dennis Trillo will star in the newest Kapuso drama "Gumapang Ka Sa Lusak" with Jennylyn Mercado.
This new project of Dennis and Jennylyn is an adaptation of "Gumapang Ka Sa Lusak" by acclaimed director Lino Brocka.
Dennis, who expressed his excitement on working again with Jennylyn, said that this new soap is at times off-beat from the roles he already played.
"Medyo political pero maraming twists. Isa ito sa pinaka intense na character na gagampanan ko sa tv (This is one of the most intense character I will portray in TV)."
“Medjo matagal tagal akong hindi nakagawa ng drama, ito ulit balik sa drama at balik sa hapon (It's been a long time since I've done drama and this time I'm working again in the afternoon (timeslot)," he added.
Dennis will play as an assassin like the role who grew up behind bars.
When asked on his relationship with ex-girlfriend and Kapamilya star Cristine Reyes, he said that they are contented with what they have right now.
Dennis and Cristine were reportedly seen together in a bar.
“Kaibigan sya ng mga kapatid ko at nagkataon lang na sinama nila ako kasi wala naman akong ginagawa and sa tingin ko wala namang masama dun kasi wala akong asawa at it doesn't mean na lumabas kami eh kami na ulit (She's a friend of my sisters and it so happen that they asked me to join them because I don't have work at that time and I think there's nothing wrong because I don't have a partner and our going out doesn't mean we're together again)," Dennis said.
He added: "Masaya kami ngayon sa sarili naming estado sa buhay and ayaw na naming gawing kumplikado yun, hayaan na lang natin na ganun yun (We are happy with our selves and with where we are right now and we don't want to complicate things)."
Dennis meanwhile said his focus right now is work and career.
