TEAMS for the weeklong 3rd Negros Occidental Football Association (Nofa) Under 13 Invitational Cup will start arriving on Tuesday, May 1.
Eighteen teams from across the country will converge at the Sta. Maria Football Field in Talisay City from May 2 to 5 for the event.
These teams from Luzon are 07 Eagles, Blue Brothers, Malaya FC, One La Salle and Southridge; Mindanao – Davao Grassroots Champions League (Davao del Sur), Golden Harvest (Bukidnon/Misamis Oriental), Mt. Apo Regional Football Association (North Cotabato), Notre Dame of Tacurong College (Maguindanao) and ZANDIFA (Zamboanga del Norte-Dipolog City).
Teams from the Visayas are Don Bosco Cebu FC and Springdale Titans of Cebu, Barotac Nuevo Football Club and LGU Barotac Nuevo from Iloilo, North Road Guesthouse – Bacong FC and Negros Oriental – Siquijor Regional Football Association from Negros Oriental, and two teams from host-NOFA.
A welcome dinner will be hosted by Nofa at the University of St. La Salle with the official matches kicking off on Wednesday.
For Nofa Cup Chairman Rev. Fr. Ember Tiangson, this annual event aims at providing the young players the opportunity to develop their skills and continuously elevated not only the level of football in our country but also the lives of young aspiring players. (HGD/SunStar Bacolod)
