ANG pambato sa Italy nga si David Giannelli maoy midaug sa male 100-kilometer sa Visit Davao Summer Festival (VDSF) Mt. Apo Sky and Vertical Race niadtong Abril 21 didto sa Mt. Apo sa Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur.

Mioras si Giannelli og 14 oras, 44 minutos ug 15 segundos aron makuha ang all-expense paid trip sa Vietnam Mountain Marathon (VMM).

Si Pinoy Jorge Alyn Gil Lanante maoy misunod sa ikaduhang puwesto 14:44.15 samtang si 2017 champion Pablo Diago Gonzalez pakyas madepensahan ang iyang korona human ikatulo sa oras 15:56.15.

Samtang si Agustoralin Sabanal, mibulsa sa 100K titulo kinsa nag-inusarang babaye sa lumba.

Si Race director Romualdo Calbes, mitubag sa isyung dunay giyera tali sa rebelde ug Armed Forces of the Philippines, "I forced to stop some of the 50-K runners on course and cut the distance short for the 100-K runners. Yes, there was a gunfight in neighboring barangay called Bayungon, near Siminto Tubison Astorga. This is few kilometers away or above from Siminto church, not on the trails of Mt. Apo Skyrace."

Ang tribal lider, mitawag kang Calbes alas 2 sa hapon sa maong adlaw aron isulti ang nahitabo sa Bayungon.

"I immediately gave them instructions to secure the seven runners and take them to Barangay Astorga. From there a call was made to AFP and Philippine National Police (PNP)," niya pa ang mga runners luwas nga nabalik sa venue.

"I know they heard the gunfight. My sincere apology, we don't have any intention to cause distress," sulti ni Calbes kinsa nangayo'g pasaylo ilabi na sa 100-K runners. (ABM)
