IT'S one big fun for Cagayan de Oro folks who love both sports and showbiz entertainment.
So-called "Friends of Candy de la Rosa-Darimbang" has organized a celebrity basketball exhibition game, pitting Celebrity All-Stars against CdeO Collegiate All-Stars this coming Saturday (Jan. 23) at the Xavier University gym here.
Harvey Henk Calubiran, former mainstay of CMOFA Football Club and coordinator of the organizing (Sense of Perfection) group told Sun.Star Cagayan de Oro yesterday that matinee idol Joross Gamboa will lead the showbiz cast in the keenly-awaited event.
Also out to treat the local crowd is Gamboa's fellow celebrities in Paolo Paraiso, Luis Alandy, Josh Ivan Morales, Aaron, Villaflor, Jose Sarsola, Joem Bascon, Marco Alvarez, Carlo Guevarra and Xian Lim.
"As of now, we're still in the process of completing our local cast nga mga idols gihapon sa basketball," said Calubiran who initially mentioned the names of Xavier University's Bee Datingguinoo and Jett Yaranon, Corpus Christi's Ranz Ostrea, Sacred Heart's JK Casi¤o, Pilgrim's Rhodelle Nagac, American behemoth Neil de Cleene and one Patrick Jay Ocsio among those considered to challenge the Celebrity All-Stars.
