ZAMBOANGA CITY -- Suspected Abu Sayyaf bandits set off a bomb in Lamitan City, Basilan Province, injuring a teenager and damaging three houses, a police official said Wednesday.
Senior Superintendent Antonio Mendoza, Basilan police director, said the improvised bomb exploded around 8:40 p.m. Tuesday near the residence of Lamitan City Mayor Roderick Furigay along Flores Street.
Jun-Jun Jumdail, 17, was wounded and rushed to St. Peter Hospital for treatment. (Bong Garcia)
