Visiting One La Salle caused the young booters of Dynamic FC to shed tears after denying the host-team of home advantage with a 1-0 victory to claim the title of the 3rd Negros Occidental Football Association (Nofa) Under 13 Invitational Cup at Sta. Maria Football Field in Talisay City.

Lucas Sebastiano Andan scored in the opening minute off a broken play at the mouth of the Dynamic FC’s goal much to the surprise and dismay of the host.

Dynamic tried to make the equalizer in the remainder of the game but One La Salle’s defense was too much for the home side, denying every attempt.

One La Salle Coach Dave Tudence, who hailed from Victorias City, said that the team is very happy in beating the host squad. “Our players made lots of sacrifices to win this tournament. They played their game and hearts. We know that Dynamic FC is a strong side.”

Tudence, a product of Don Bosco Technical Institute, has made his squad composed of players from La Salle Greenhills and Zobel as a spoiler for the Negrenses dominance.

Dynamic FC Coach Roland Allan Treyes, despite the loss, said he’s still proud of his players. “I just told the boys that it will not be their last game. We will just have to work harder for future tournaments,” he said.

Nofa president Ricky Yanson said that with the successful turnout of the tournament, they are looking forward to a bigger competition next year.

“I have asked Philippine Football Federation (PFF) president Mariano Araneta to have the U12 division in the annual Festival of Football as the qualifying stage for next year’s Nofa U13 Cup,” he said. “Also we are hoping that the proposed football center here in the province pushes through to provide a higher level of training for our age-group players,” he added.

Named Most Valuable Player and Best Midfielder is Jared Alexander Pena of One La Salle alongside his teammate Viggo Louis Herce as Best Defender.

Dynamic FC’s Ashley Sacapano is the Best Goalkeeper while Green Global’s Kian Clent Catoto and Almagne Kurt Sarip of Mt. Apo Regional Football Association shared the Best Striker award with 15 goals apiece.
