More teams, quality players and numerous scouts will converge at the Bacolod Tay Tung High School covered court for the staging of the 4th JGM Invitational Volleyball Tournament on May 18 to 20.
Host-Tay Tung teams A and B will be leading the cast alongside Bacolod-based teams Living Stone International School, Trinity Christian School, Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod and University of St. La Salle; Murcia Selection, La Carlota City Selection, Pontevedra Selection, Don Bosco-Dumaguete, Ateneo de Cebu, Ateneo de Iloilo, Bingawan Selection, University of San Agustin-Iloilo, and Assumption Antipolo from Rizal province.
Ateneo de Cebu and Bingawan Selection will be featured in the tournament’s opener.
UP Women’s Volleyball Team Head Coach Godfrey Owese Okumu will be gracing the opening rites, and in the evening will induct the Negros Federation of Volleyball Enthusiasts Inc. new set of officers.
On May 19, Okumu will hold a free clinic for girls aged 12 years old and above. He will be assisted by UP Lady Maroons stars Diana Mae “Toots” Carlos, Maria Lina Isabel Molde and Bacolod City-hailed Ma. Arielle Estranero.*
