DAVAO City tankers are ready to compete in the Philippine National Games 2018 swimming competition slated May 20-23 at the Cebu City Sports Center.
"I can definitely guarantee na yung mga swimmers natin malalakas," League of Swimmers and Coaches of Davao City (LSCDC) chairperson Antoinette Adle-Mendoza said in a phone interview yesterday, said.
State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (Scuaa) gold medalist Juan Antonio Mendoza, Private School Athletic Association (Prisaa) gold medalists Keirl Suazo and Kyle Pajarito, Samuel John Alcos, who has represented the Philippines in various international competitions, and Justin Jude Jaugan with coach Vasit Venturillo will banner Davao City's swimming team.
"Wala tayong female swimmers. Lahat ng swimmers natin male, kasi lahat ng qualified na female swimmers they are not available kasi may school pa sila," she said, expecting that the team will bring home medals. (Lyca Mae Limana, Shameka Belenario, NDDU Interns)
