Boy sells newspaper in preparation for school

A BOY tried to earn a living in his own way so he can have money before the school opening.

He sold newspapers and he chose to sell SunStar Bacolod.

His buyer was not even used to buying a newspaper but was convinced to buy one, as his heart was melted down by this boy who approached him and asked: "Sir, do you want to buy this newspaper?"

Stephen Magallanes, the buyer of the newspaper, was having his batchoy when he saw the boy.

The boy took the timing to follow him up by saying, "Sir, please buy this newspaper. I need to save for my school. I hope you can buy one and it is like helping me, too.”

Magallanes did not have second thoughts and bought one from that boy.

In his Facebook account, Magallanes said: "I am not used to buying a newspaper because of social media where you can access news and updates of all the current events and other readings. The boy said that he wants to buy his own school supplies and other requirements and the reason why he sells newspapers. I was touched by his dedication towards his education. We need to teach our kids to be responsible like this boy. Let us be truthful to our kids too, if our situations are okay or not. We will teach them this early so that when they get old, they will value the true colors and meaning of life."
