Bautista: Sure I’ll go

IT WILL be a first for me. A place many have heard of. I have traveled all throughout but not to this place. I wanted many times to come over but never found a way. There is also just no way. It seems very difficult to find someone or something to get me to go.

Only the governor named Sol is all. I found a way. From Manila to Butuan then a three hour van ride took me to Surigao. By bus, it will take a little longer at five hours with all the stops.

An airport is found but not for now. It was damaged in an earthquake that leaves half of the runway damaged. A 5.5 tremor just happened after I left.

I sure find a way to run this time. I make 10 kilometers around the city proper. It is quiet at 6 but it comes to life after an hour. The bustle of city life comes to life. Matugas is "matigas" here. The Governor, the Mayor, the Congressman all exchange roles since 1992. Positively a cause that makes this place beautiful. No Juan is complaining.

Like Baguio and its neighbors it is tourism and mining that keeps it in the limelight and on the spotlight. Careful they are not to overdo things. They don't have to anyway as it is already made that way. A Boracay they hope it will not be. Unlike in Baguio.

Sohoton I go, a van we get for 3k for a day and a boat to take us around its islets for 3.5k and we were good to go. What an adventure we had.

Cave swimming, cave climbing a crystal cave then cliff diving, well jumping, still it was fun. The icing on the cake for this adventure was a banca ride to the jellyfish lake!

Sure it wasn't Siargao but it was something else. Sure I was to go soon. Sure enough the gracious Governor arranges one for me. A karaoke night before and a wake-up call at 3:00 then 4:30 a.m. call time it was to head to a bus for the port. A fastcraft it was for me but it still takes 3 hours to Dapa in Siargao. Finally, really.

It is all this that has not made me ever come here. Every Juan I ask has a different itinerary and route to Siargao never a sure go. Now I get the idea that will surely make me go with family. Although I just learn that the airport just opened a few months ago just this year.

We had a warm welcome by the Tourism Office before the Pilar Mayor hosted us for a special beachside meal of Sea Mantis, Crabs, Shrimp, Squid, assorted variety of fish like Tuna and lots of Barbecue. The Mayor mentions a natural pool. I go. It was beautiful. We couldn't go for a swim as it was high tide.

The Provincial Government provided for a room with a view by the waterfront. This place is the official lodging for the surf competitions of the famous Cloud 9. Then a party was to be had at a family resort of the Governor to celebrate the birthday of her better half the Congressman.

Sure I go on an April for the International Fishing Tournament or on September for the International Surfing Competition. These are reasons for Juan to surely go to Siargao. Juan can plan a go on this times too. Go!

Here I go everywhere. Sure I go to see the famous Cloud 9, a professional only surf area. Sure, amateurs will want to try, a fee of 50 is asked. I will assure you it is not the cheap fee for one to go and try it. Go I will doubt it for Juan. Foreigners were all I see. I won't dare go.

I went to the Boulevard, a stretch of white sand beach, swim I didn't go. Go I did along one of the bars which served cold Red Horse. Good I didn't go for a swim as we had to go for our next schedule. I was good to go.

I went for a walk for some souvenirs, while playing Pokemon Go. I go to get rare and different monsters from what we have in Baguio. Glad I get to go here for this. Sure I go.

Went to the airport then off to Cebu. I don't go the short and straight way as it is just too expensive, 12k one way. No way. While in Cebu I go for some pizza, food fatigue from seafood.

I soon went to my gate and off I go to Manila then go home up the mountains immediately. I will go and attend the end of school for Joy's Musikgarten. I have to go for it. Sure I will go back here, as I know now how to go here.
