Ad firm proposes uniform jeepney terminal signs

SIGNBOARDS for jeepney terminals in the city and the rest of the country will be changed if the 1-United Transport Coalition (1-Utak) agrees with the project proposal of Adscentral.

Public Transport Affairs Office head Jonie Itliong said Adscentral proposed a project to change the signboards of terminals of the different public utility vehicles in the city for beautification.

"This is a proposal from the Adscentral to beautify the signages and they even proposed to add trash cans in these terminals," Itliong said.

Itliong disclosed that Adscentral has recently launched this project in the city and provided for terminal signboards.

Itliong said the proposal was forwarded to 1-Utak Representative Vigor Mendoza during the recent general assembly in the city.

He said the signboards will be sponsored by various companies.

He added that the drivers and operators will not pay a single centavo for the signboards.

"This will be at no cost to the drivers and operators as it will be sponsored by partner companies," Itliong said.

Itliong said Adscentral is also proposing to install signboards to help tourists find their way around in the city. (Visha Calventas)
