Ceres FC standouts top UFL scorers

Bacolod City's Ceres-La Salle FC continues to show its dominance in the premier division of the United Football League (UFL) with a clean 10-0 record after routing top clubs in the league with huge margins.

Behind Ceres aggressive attacks are its main artilleries. League’s top scorer and Spanish striker Adrian Gallardo has 14 goals followed by Korean midfielder Jeong Wong Lee with six goals, and Fil-German midfielder Patrick Reichelt, five goals.

Other UFL top scorers are No. 2 Mark Hartmann (nine goals), tied at No. 3 are Kaya FC’s OJ Porteria and Archers’ Robert Lopez, seven; even at No. 5 with five goals are James and Phil Younghusband (Loyola), Louis Clark (Kaya), and Jordan Mintah (Stallions). In No.10 with five goals each are Hikaru Minegishi (Global), Jesus Melliza (Archers) and Ruben Doctora (Stallion).

Ceres head coach and club director Ali Go said their wins are team efforts.

“Everybody played good. Now we prepare for Green Archers and Kaya,” he said. “And with the team playing well, we able to rest some of our players like Manny Ott, Patrick Reichelt, Martin Stueble, and Kim Sang Min.”

“We need to win all our games and work hard every day to be prepared for every match. We have six games to go,” he added.HGD
