Gikan sa nindot nga dinulaan sa 12th Boracay International Dragon Boat Festival, ang Dabawenyo midomina sa 10-team event nga gisalmotan sa Philippine National Police Maritime of Manila, Aqua Fortis, Gruppo Habagat of Cebu, Salties Leyteños Tacloban City, Bakunawa of Iligan City, FSUU Blue Dragons and Black Dragons of Butuan City and Kujaw Tiger Dragons, Bugsay Marajao of Surigao City, ug Bugsay San Luis of Agusan.
Ang DDS ang nakabulsa sa mixed category titulo batok Bugsay Marajao sa Surigao City ug Bakunawa Dragon Boat Team sa Iligan City.
Apan ang DDS women's team ang nakaplata ug Bakunawa Dragon Boat Team mikuha sa women's title.
Sa bahin sa Father Saturnino Urios (FSUU) Blue Dragons of Butan City, sila dunay bronze.
Si DDS representative Clarice “Clang” Calolot, miingon, "With just an exact number of crew members, the team gave their heart, soul and spirit. Pushing their limits and giving their all."
Dugang niya nga miapil na sab sila sa prestihiyosong Dragon boat competition sa milabay lima ka tuig apan karong tuiga ang pinaka-espesyal.
"We only placed third in the 2,000m mixed category and second in the 200m women’s category in the third Bugsay Mindanao three in Butuan City," niya pa.
Sunod nga tigian sa DDS ug modepensa og titulo sa umaabot nga Kadayawan sa Dabaw sa Agosto.
"Kadayawan is the next big race. Right now we are on break and we will resume training by June," suma niya. (ABM)
