FREDERICK Go was introduced to the Cebu community as the first honorary consul of the Republic of Latvia to Cebu during a cocktail/dinner affair at the Summit A Ballroom of Summit Galleria Cebu. Doing the honors was Consul General of the Republic of Latvia to the Philippines Robert Lim Joseph.

Taking centerstage during “A Night of Music” at The Gallery of Ayala Center Cebu were Justin Joseph B. de Leon and Juan Paolo Q. Panagsagan. The talented duo are winners of the 2017 Piano Competition Leonor Kilayko.

Charter president Nerissa Soon Ruiz and current president Rafaelita Dela Merced of Quota International of Mandaue were the key movers during the Quota International R19 4th Regional Meeting Fellowship Night at Montebello Villa Hotel. The theme of the meeting was “Bloom in Quota.”

Turning gold is a milestone. With this in mind, Dr. Vicente Avanzado marked his 50th birthday with a musical evening at Jazz n’ Blues. With the help of wifey Grace, he treated family and dear friends to a sumptuous dinner with a live band dishing beautiful music in the background. And when everyone had settled down, the musically-inclined Doc Inting took to the mike and sang with the original 40 the Band members.

Another golden boy, Dr. Apollo Sitoy, was honored with a surprise party by beautiful wife Dr. Stephanie at Marina Seaview in Mactan. What a lovely, loving surprise from wifey! And what a euphoric, exhilarating feeling for Pong!

Birthday girl Crystal Faith Neri blew birthday candles with husband Jovi by her side after a special dinner at Abaseria personally concocted by resto owner Lalay Java. Lechon served three ways was the star of the table. And yes, the salads were much appreciated too!

It is a girl for Jaja and Edu Rama who are all excited about having a princess after two handsome princes. Last month, Jaja was honoree at a baby shower organized by dear friends at L’Artisan in Oakridge.

Home for Cybill Gayatin Guynn and hubby Kevin is Chicago, Illinois. But she was recently in town for a quick visit and to officially announce that she and partner Kaye LuYm Sala are putting on hold their A-List business to concentrate on family. To thank their favorite lifestyle writers for their support for the past nine years, they hosted an Italian lunch at the newly opened Tavolata on the fourth level of Ayala Center Cebu.

It was a simple 40th wedding anniversary celebration for Shigeyuki and Cynthia (Balbuena) Saito last month. With son Norihide and daughter Miharu, they had an intimate family dinner at the 33rd floor resto of Aman Hotel in Tokyo.
