THE Philippine Navy through the Naval Forces Western Mindanao (Navforwem) is conducting a five-kilometer (km) fun run on Saturday, May 19, in Zamboanga City.
Rear Admiral Rene Medina, Navforwem commander, said the fun run is part of the command’s anniversary activity here.
Medina said the fun run will start at 5:30 a.m. Saturday, May 19, at the gate of the Jardin Maria Clara in Pasonanca Park.
The registration for the participants for the activity starts at 4 a.m. until 5 a.m. of the same day.
Medina said the activity is aimed to promote awareness and consciousness on the importance and benefits of exercise and healthy lifestyle to uniformed and civilian participants. (Bong Garcia/SunStar Philippines)
