Clark cycling challenge set on May 26

CLARK FREEPORT -- The AdCentral Consulting First Clark Cycling Challenge, a fun ride and raffle bicycles, adventure, fun and knowledge – will go hand in hand in the 1st Clark Cycling Challenge, or CCC, happening at 6 a.m. on May 26 at the Clark Parade Grounds.

Not a race but a fun ride, participants will bike around the Freeport in search of 25 destination points, which are points of interests in the area, according to AdCentral owner Edna Eufemio.

The stops may be historical markers, businesses, tourist attractions or educational institutions, all part of an interesting community that Clark is, she said.

The participants are given a map containing all these destination points, which they can find using their map reading skills or navigational applications such as Waze or Google Maps.

After garnering enough points, the cyclists head back to the finish line where raffle of prizes will be held.

“The whole event is designed to be fun. This is not a competition - in fact bikers are encouraged to group up, bike together and help each other find the destination points,” Eufemio said.

Some of the DPs have water and food, courtesy of sponsors, which adds to the festive spirit, she added.

“So it is a half day of leisurely cycling in a lovely place, with snacks provided, and at the end everyone has a chance to win several bicycles and vouchers from our sponsors,” Eufemio said.

Those interested to join may check the event’s Facebook Page Clark Cycling Challenge, or email the organizers at info.adcentral@gmail.com.

This event is organized by AdCentral Consulting, organizer of the 2nd Bike Tour Expo and the 18th Tour of the Fireflies, with support from Clark Development Corporation, Tern and Bickerton Bicycles and Royce Hotel and Casino.
