No one was hurt in the incident, which was reported at 11:45 p.m. Saturday, May 19, said Calabarzon regional director Chief Superintendent Guillermo Eleazar.
JBL William Uy construction company, which owned the truck destroyed in the incident, has yet to issue a statement as of Sunday afternoon.
Imus City Mayor Emmanuel Maliksi said the bridge collapsed when the girder being attached to one of the beams did not fit.
Eleazar said advised motorists on Sunday to avoid the area near Aguinaldo Highway corner Daanghari Boulevard due to heavy traffic.
A flyover that is being constructed at Aguinaldo Highway, Corner Daang Hari Road, Imus, Cavite collapsed at around 11:40 PM.

Maliksi said he has given the construction company one and a half day to finish clearing operations.
"As a result of collapsed concrete beams in the area of Imus, Cavite, all heavy vehicles (trucks, buses) from Carmona, Silang, GMA, Tagaytay and other adjacent towns are advised to take Pala-pala via Molino, Salitran via Molino going to Manila. Light vehicles can pass through Aguinaldo Highway," said Eleazar. (SunStar Philippines)
