WHETHER it’s a birthday, red-letter occasion or simply to veer away from the hustle and bustle of the metro, the original Sirao Garden Little Amsterdam is fast becoming a celebration destination of sorts.

Recently, two red-letter occasions were held there: Businessman Alfred “Fred” Chua wanted to make a difference on his birthday, and whispered to his wife, Elena, to prepare not a lavish feast, but a sustainable outreach activity; distribution of food/gift packs to the underprivileged families beside their Sirao Garden barangay. It helped that his wife, Elena, is the proprietress of the now famous Sirao Garden Little Amsterdam!

With the help of Elena’s fellow retirees from Cathay Pacific (CX) Airways, the act of mercy turned out to be a memorable moment for all, especially for Fred! Happy Birthday!

Jetsetting all the way from Manila was University of the Philippines (UP) alumna Marilou Decal, who just had to mark her special day at Sirao Garden Little Amsterdam. The celebrant also happened to be another CX colleague, so the entire gang gathered to help her blow her birthday candles. Special guest was Mandaue Vice Mayor Carlo Fortuna! Many more blooming and breezy moments at Little Amsterdam!
