MAYOR Jose Espinosa III is inviting Ilonggos to witness the clash between Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) All-Star Visayas and Gilas Pilipinas at University of San Agustin Gym on Sunday, May 27, at 5 p.m.
“We’re glad that our city was given a chance to host this event. This is going to be one of the most exciting games in history. As PBA fans, Ilonggos have been waiting for this to happen so let’s watch and support the game,” Espinosa said.
Ilonggo basketball players Ronald Tubid, Kiefer Ravena, and Emman Monfort will be playing with pride in their hometown together with the best in the country.
City Sports Division Officer in Charge Moises Salomon said some 90 delegates from two teams are expected to arrive on Saturday, May 26.
The City Government will host them a welcome lunch and press conference. They will also grace the semi-finals of Mayor’s Cup at Lapaz Plaza in the afternoon. (PR)
