2 LPAs to bring scattered rains over Philippines

MANILA -- Two low pressure areas (LPAs) embedded along the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) will bring scattered rain showers in the country Friday, June 1, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

In its 24-hour forecast, the state weather bureau said the two LPAs were last observed at 335 kilometers west southwest of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, and 900 kilometers east southeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur, respectively.
