Nana is new PRO-Cordillera chief

NATIONAL Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Director Chief Superintendent Rolando Nana is set to head Police Regional Office (PRO)-Cordillera while outgoing director Chief Superintendent Edward Carranza is set to head to PRO-Calabarzon.

Carranza was appointed as PRO-Cordillera chief in January this year replacing Chief Superintendent Elmo Sarrona who was reassigned at Camp Crame.

Barely a month in his incumbency as PRO-Cordillera Chief, Carranza was faced with the bombing incident in La Paz Town in Abra province and the conduct of the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections last May 14.

Baguio boy and incumbent NCR chief of police Dir. Camilo Cascolan was transferred to the Philippine National Police’s (PNP) Civil Security Group.

The reshuffling came after PNP Chief Oscar Albayalde ordered the appointment of a new police spokesman and reassignment of five other high-ranking police officials.

Senior Superintendent Bong Durana replaced Chief Superintendent John Bulalacao as PNP spokesperson who was appointed PNP spokesman in January 2018.

Bulalacao was transferred to Police Regional Office 6 where he will head the Western Visayas forces. He replaced Cesar Binag who was appointed as the new head of the PNP's Directorate for Information and Communication Technology Management.

Calabarzon police Chief Superintendent Guillermo Eleazar was named as the new head of the NCRPO, while Dir. Federico Dulay Jr. from PNP-Civil Security Group to Office of the chief PNP while Chief Superintendent Rolando Anduyan from Police Regional Office Armm to NCRPO.

The revamp is in consonance with the recommendations of the PNP's oversight committee which reviews performance of commanders on the ground, aside from some retirements in the police ranks that necessitated movement.

The PNP is in the continuing process of periodic review of its commanders on the ground and will follow more reshuffles.

The order was released on May 31, 2018 and takes effect June 1, 2018.
