FOR Flatworld Solutions Philippines Inc. (FWS-PH), growing is beyond gaining more clients or increasing its revenues.

“We want to continue to our growth because when we continue to grow we can provide more employment to the communities around us,” Ajit Sivarajan, country head of Flatworld Philippines, said.

He said from just five employees in 2010, Flatworld Philippines is now employing around 800 employees to cater to their clients across the globe.

Last year, they were operating out of one location for their operations in Davao, which is located at the Lucita Building, Sobrecarey corner Lapu Lapu Streets.

Ajit said their current office in Obrero has 450 seats and houses a little over 850 employees.

“We expect to grow to over 1200 employees by the end of the year. Therefore, we made huge investments in a new facility in Buhangin with 650 seats that would eventually accommodate around 1,300 employees,” he said, adding that by September of this year, they hope to hire an additional 400 more employees.

“We are working on some very interesting and long-term projects, which also means stability of our employees; long term relationship with clients; and better opportunities,” Sivarajan said.

He added that one key factor for a long term, sustainable project is to ensure that they do a good job with it, no matter what the scale of the project.

Ajit said quality of service offered is key on sustaining their clients and the projects that they are able to acquire.

“We value our people and we take care of our people. The quality of our service becomes better as the employees stay here longer. We want to hire and retain the best talents of this city,” Ajit said.

As they are on the path of continued growth, Ajit said they will continue to build Flatworld's operations here in Davao City.

“We are not looking elsewhere in the Philippines. We came here to Davao City because we saw huge potential in this city. We still believe the city has a lot of potential and want to continue to expand our business here,” Ajit said.

Flatworld Philippines entered Davao City in 2013 to tap into the potentials of the booming Information Technology and Business Process Management (IT-BPM) of the city. The company offers a solid list of IT-BPM voice and non-voice services like inbound and outbound Call Center services, Email support, and Chat support, Virtual Assistance, Customs Brokerage and Logistics, Software Development, Data Entry, among others.
