CEBU Parklane International Hotel celebrates two upcoming signature events this month: Sangka Sa Kaha: Tinubaang Tinonuang Kinsan Sa Aloguinsan and Hunat Sugbo 8.
Sangka Sa Kaha is a cookout event wherein traditional dishes of towns and municipalities of Cebu Province are featured.
This year’s Sangka will be held tomorrow at Aloguinsan’s Baluarte Park as seven contenders compete for Aloguinsan’s specialty dish: the Tinubaang Tinonuang Kinsan Sa Aloguinsan.
The winning dish will then become part of the menu of the Parklane’s Kan-anan Restaurant, a restaurant specializing in authentic Cebuano dishes, located on the fourth floor.
Another event to look out for is Parklane’s Hunat Sugbu 8: Dagan Para Ni Maning. This is a series of commemorative runs organized by Cebu Parklane International Hotel for its past president, Manuel G. Ting. First organized on May 15, 2011, the run does not only serve as a tribute to the hotel’s late president but is also one of the company’s major corporate social responsibility projects. Proceeds will be donated to a medical mission in partnership with Jesu Christi.
This year, Hunat Sugbu 8 will be held on June 24 at the Ayala Terraces. There will be four race categories: three kilometers (3K), 6K, 12K and 21K.
To get results fast, the Hunat Sugbu organizing team will again use the “time-in chip” race bib for the 12K and 21K rate categories. In each category, the top five runners will win a plaque and a cash prize. For the 12K and 21K race categories, all participants will be awarded with a finisher’s medal.
