IT IS all systems go for the Davao Inter-BPO League (DIBL) Volleyball League Season 2 that will bounce off this Sunday, June 17 at the Rizal Memorial Colleges (RMC) Gym.

DIBL commissioner Mark De Guzman announced yesterday during the Davao Sportswriters Association (DSA) Forum held at the Annex of SM City Davao that the 10 BPO (Business Process Outsource) teams are set to vie for the title and the P20,000 champion purse in the volleyfest sanctioned by Balibolista de Dabaw.

"We have a total of seven men teams and three women teams who joined from seven BPO companies," De Guzman said, pertaining to last year's men and women divisions defending champion Alorica, Sutherland, Ibex, Teleperformance, Awesome OS, VXI and Flatworld.

The Alorica women's team and Sutherland Global volleybelles will usher the opening game that will be staged simultaneously with the match between Ibex and Flatworld Solutions men's division at 9:00 a.m.

Alorica's representative Jay Tuazon expects a tough competition this year considering other teams are beefing up its rosters.

"Our main priority here is mind setting. This is a whole new season which means we are not the champions anymore, thus, must play the same level like we did last year," said Tuazon who is expected to field a powerhouse cast in this season.

Sutherland officer Mila Nabua, on the other hand, said the team will absolutely gun for the title.

"We are here of course to compete although we expect a tight competition from other companies," she said.

Following matches includes VXI Global versus Awesome OS men's division and Sutherland versus Alorica men’s division.
