Tesda sets free national assessment in NegOcc

THE Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda) has scheduled a free national assessment in Negros Occidental on June 26 and 27 this year.

The two-day activity on a first come, first serve basis will be conducted in different accredited assessment centers on selected qualifications, said the agency in a press release.

“We are inviting everyone, especially the industry workers, career shifters, unemployed adults looking for jobs, technical and vocational education and training (TVET) graduates, teachers and trainers to join us in our National Assessment Day,” it added.

Participating accredited assessment centers in the province and their respective qualifications are Cedar College in Cadiz City for visual graphic design national certificate (NC) II; Lasaltech Inc. in Bacolod City - visual graphic design NC II; Mirai Empower Foundation Corp. – shielded metal arc welding NC II; Universal School of Applied Science College in Sagay City – food and beverage services NC II; and VMA Global College and Training Center – housekeeping NC II.

Applicants for assessment are required to submit to the accredited assessment centers, or to Tesda Negros Occidental Provincial Office, requirements including two sets of the application form.

Other requirements are two copies of NSO birth certificatel four passport size photos with white background and dress should be with collar; and certificate of training or employment related to competency assessment applied. (EPN)
