WHEN details of the divorce petition filed by Oscar-winner Angelina Jolie against estranged husband Brad Pitt became public, the 54-year-old actor remained mum. Even when details pointed to him as a villain, the “Fury” actor continued to keep to himself for the sake of his six children with Jolie.

However, he has had enough.

According to Us Weekly magazine, Pitt is “very angry” with Jolie for continuing to control him through their children: Maddox, 16; Pax, 14; Zahara, 13; Shiloh, 12, and nine-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.

Pitt was reportedly willing to do anything to have the children in his life. Jolie has full custody of them.

According to court documents obtained by Us, a judge noted how important it is for the children to have a relationship with Pitt.

“It is critical that each of (the Jolie-Pitt children) have a healthy and strong relationship with their father and mother,” and not just one of the parents.

Jolie is also in danger of losing full custody of the children—save for Maddox, who is old enough to choose whether to spend time with Pitt or not—if she manipulates the situation in order for the children not to have a relationship with their father.

“Brad has taken the high road through all of this,” a source said. “He could have gone to court much sooner to ask the judge to intervene. He was done being Mr. Nice Guy and rolled the dice.”

“The judge could have sided with Angie, but that didn’t happen,” the source continued. “The judge made a thoughtful and informed decision that the children were in no danger while with Brad.”

Pitt reportedly flew to London on Father’s Day in order to spend time with the children, who were brought to the city by Jolie, who was filming “Maleficent 2.”

With details of the custody battle being leaked, Jolie’s camp released a statement: “This misleading leak is not in the best interests of the children. From the start, Angelina has been focused only on their health and needs, which is why it was so important that this last court hearing be conducted privately.”

According to E! News, because Jolie and Pitt are busy with different projects, the court directed the two to agree on a schedule for the children to continue to see Pitt. A detailed schedule was agreed upon, which allowed Pitt to spend a lot of time with the children but with a therapist on hand.

Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt in September 2016. The reason for the divorce was reportedly that Pitt got physical with Maddox following a verbal exchange between the parents. Child Services was called and an investigation ensued. Pitt was cleared of possible wrongdoing.

But while Pitt was cleared, another rumor circulated: that the actor had a fling with “Allied” co-star Marion Cotillard. The French actress, who was then pregnant with her second child with Guillaume Canet, spoke out and denied the rumors. Pitt kept quiet.
