That’s how Brian May described a performance from the TNT Boys, which was shared by “Little Big Shots,” the Steve Harvey-hosted and Ellen DeGeneres-produced TV show that showcases the talents of young children.
In the clip, the boys were singing Queen’s “Somebody to Love.” And the Queen lead guitarist loved it.
“Check out these lovely young lads from the Philippines,” May said in his verified Facebook page while sharing the “Little Big Shots” video of the TNT Boys. “Brilliant. Great to see youngsters relating to Queen so well—and enjoying.”
The TNT Boys are BACK and ready to capture your heart for the second time,” the TV show captioned the video on YouTube.
The video has been viewed 3.4 million times and shared 21,000 times.
The young group comprises Francis Concepcion, 11; Mackie Empuerto, 12, and Kiefer Sanchez, 13. Their talents were first showcased in “It’s Showtime’s” Tawag ng Tanghalan.
But it wasn’t until they performed in “Gandang Gabi Vice” that the entire nation took notice. The trio sang Beyonce’s “Listen” and the video of that performance became viral. Then the world took notice.
The boys appeared in UK’s “Little Big Shots” in April and in Harvey’s US version (the original) in May. They performed “Listen” for the international audience and DeGeneres urged Beyonce on social media to watch the performance.
The TNT Boys is currently a contestant in ABS-CBN’s “Your Face Sounds Familiar.” (JGA)
