TOSP announces Central Luzon finalists

THE Regional Executive Committee of the Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines (TOSP) announced this year’s Central Luzon search finalists.

“We selected the 20 finalists from 41 entries. They were categorized into five clusters of specialization namely medicine and health-related professions; agriculture, science, and math; engineering, architecture and information technology; humanities, psychology, communication and social sciences; and teacher education,” Regional Executive Committee chairperson Gil Cruz said.

The finalists are Kierwin Bañas from Aurora State College of Technology, James Rafael Basilio from Central Luzon Doctors’ Hospital Educational Institution, Annabelle Beley from College of the Immaculate Concepcion, Francis Edward Blanco from Bataan Peninsula State University, Yvonne Candelaria from Holy Angel University, Shaine Mae Coronel from Baliuag University, Reynamy Doria from Tarlac State University, Ezayra Dubria from Angeles University Foundation, Linue Keith Erni from Tarlac Agricultural University, and Alvin Guinto from Centro Escolar University-Malolos.

Also, Francis Charles Jocson from Holy Angel University, Ma. Rhodora Luisa Lazaro from Mary the Queen College, Gabriel Lorenzo from Pampanga State Agricultural University, Oliver Manarang from Mabalacat City College, Jayson Martinez from University of the Assumption, Kenneth Miranda from Dr. Yanga’s Colleges, Inc., Relynne Miranda from Baliuag University, Adrian Renz Pineda from Bulacan State University, Norman Santos from Mary the Queen College, and John Andrew Louis Vergel from Mondriaan Aura College.

The finalists will undergo a one-week formation in the province of Bulacan from July 5 to 9.

“TOSP is an awards program that recognizes the country’s most notable students who do not only excel academically, but also dedicate themselves as exceptional individuals who make and contribute positive change in the community,” Cruz said.

Nominees were graded according to their academic performance-40 percent, leadership-30 percent and social responsibility-30 percent. (Carmela Jane F. Villar, PIA-3)
