The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)-Negros Occidental has received six brand new Rosenbauer fire trucks from the national bureau in Manila last week.

Superintendent Pamela Rojane Candido, fire marshal of BFP-Negros Occidental, said yesterday that the fire trucks were distributed to the cities of Bacolod, Bago, Cadiz, Sagay, Sipalay, and Silay.

BFP-Bacolod has already blessed their second Rosenbauer fire truck on the Feast of St. John the Baptist Sunday at the San Sebastian Cathedral.

On Monday, Silay City Mayor Mark Golez also led the turnover and blessing of the new fire truck of the BFP in the city. The blessing rites was officiated by Reverend Fr. Mark Anthony Ison at the public plaza.

Candido said the new fire trucks will aid the different fire stations on fire suppression and rescue operations. (GYM)
