Vilma Dungo is new QI Pampanga president

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO—Businesswoman Vilma Dungo formally took oath as the new president of Quota International (QI) of Pampanga during the club’s 23rd Installation Ceremonies at the Orchid Garden Resort on Monday, June 25.

Dungo was formally sworn in by Regional Director Zelinda Soto. Soto previously held the said position before having been installed as regional director. The installation ceremony was attended by Quota International officers from other clubs as far as Metro Manila. The guest speaker for the said event was Past District Governor Luisa Liboro.

Dungo, in her speech, promised to continue the legacy of the past presidents of club by bringing more accomplishments in terms of social service. She added that her term will mean a renewal of partnerships with other non-government partners through programs.

Dungo also thanked the members of the club for their trust in her and for giving her the challenge of leading the clubs programs. She added that her term will also be marked by more membership into the club.

Soto also thanked her Quota family for the support. Soto also gave recognition to the different groups, non-government organizations and partners of QI Pampanga for their unwavering support.

Meanwhile, Dungo also recognized the need to promote QI Pampanga and its core advocacies. Quotarians are known for their service to disadvantaged women and children and deaf, hard-of-hearing, and speech-impaired people.

Serving and encouraging others, developing friendships, and promoting international understanding are values shared by all Quota members.

QI Pampanga’s presence in Pampanga is marked by the social programs and assistances it has provided for the Special Education Class of the City of San Fernando and Pampanga High School. It has also built hygiene facilities in Porac town and does regular social work for children in crisis.

QI Pampanga is also active in calamity support and has existing partnerships with other clubs like Rotary, Kapampangan Development Foundation, and Mirai ni Kibou Foundation.
