Entrepreneurs to be honored on June 29

THE Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) will conclude Cebu Business Month (CBM) 2018 in a grand and colorful ceremony that will honor individuals for their impressive contributions to Cebu’s economy.

On June 29, the CCCI will recognize exemplary individuals as recipients of the Entrepreneur of the Year, Small Business Entrepreneur, Young Entrepreneur, Countryside Entrepreneur, Socially Responsible Entrepreneur, Innovative Entrepreneur, and Inspiring Woman Entrepreneur awards during the 2018 Grand Chamber Awards (GCA) and Fellowship Night, which will be held in the Oakridge Pavilion in Mandaue City.

During the event, business owners, executives, members of the academe, government officials, consuls, and dignitaries will be entertained by the world-class performance of shadow play group El Gamma Penumbra, the grand champion of the first season of TV show 2015 Asia’s Got Talent. They will also get the chance to win raffle prizes, including a round-trip plane ticket to Hong Kong sponsored by Cathay Pacific.

This year’s Grand Chamber Awards and Fellowship Night is chaired by Christian Paro-an, president of RC Goldline Sale Shop, and co-chaired by Melita Ramos, vice president of Cebu Supergro Products Corp., and Pia Monica Alturas, Visayas area head of China Savings Bank Inc. under the leadership of CBM 2018 overall chairman Benedict Que, president of Golden Prince Hotel and Suites.

“These awardees are good role models and business leaders. They are catalysts of change who have built and sustained excellent businesses, a testament to their significant contributions to Cebu’s vibrant economy,” said Paro-an.

The nomination process and selection of awardees for the Grand Chamber Awards was spearheaded by CCCI’s council of advisers. (PR)
