Ceres defends turf vs Stallion Laguna FC tonight

CAN Ceres Negros FC continue its domination of Stallion Laguna FC after its back to back wins in Biñan, Laguna in the ongoing Philippines Football League?

The Busmen whipped the Stallions, 3-2 on May 26 and 6-2 on May 30 and is on top of the standings with 35 points on 11 wins, two draws, and two losses. Laguna is running fourth with 18 points on seven wins, no draw, and six defeats.

While the host squad looks formidable, injuries and suspensions have dented its invincibility allowing JPV Marikina to score a win in Panaad on Saturday.

Coach Risto Vidakovic has been forced to expose seldom used keeper Sacapano when Casas was red-carded and might use Doblas tonight if 100 percent healthy.

Striker Bienvenido Marañon, who was suspended by AFC in the zonal matches, is still in the injured list and Vidakovic has to maximize his personnel for the PFL schedule.

Expect a hard-fought encounter starting 7 p.m. tonight, June 27, as the Stallions who came mostly from Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo are motivated facing Ceres just like other discards who are spread among PFL teams.
